The View from my Window

Against the windowpane I rest my nose
Peering above the sill and beyond the boughs.
I look into the darkling night
Yonder glistening is the flurry bright.
The Snow-capped hills adorn the skyline
In awe I steal a glimpse of a snowflake’s shine.
Breathing against the windowsill, whilst
I Sketch my name in the night’s mist
Into the black, the haze vapours
With a blink of an eye the murk restores
Oh blame none but the nature so truant
Conspiring much ado in this world transient.
